Alex Loy is from the Colleyville, Texas, a suburb of Dallas.  Now a resident of Los Angeles, California, here to continue her work as an artist in so many different avenues.  She completed a BFA in dance with a focus in ballet from Point Park University and has continued her education in acting classes at the Lesly Kahn & co school.  Alex has also been dancing for 23 years, since the age of three.  Before coming to Point Park, she studied at Ballet Conservatory where she was apart of their pre-proffesional company, Lake Cities Ballet Theater.  There, Alex learned a variety of styles of dance including, ballet, pointe, jazz, modern, and hip hop.  Additionally, she has had training in character for 10 years and tap for three years.  As a classical soloist at Youth America Grande Prix, she competed in 2013, where she was awarded as top ten competitor at the semi finals in Dallas, Texas and was selected to compete in the New York City Finals where Alex was given a full scholarship to Point Park University.  Alex, also competed in 2006, where she was invited to NYC, and was awarded 3rd place in 2007 for classical ensembles.  Thru auditions, Alex has been accepted to and attended summer intensives at The Houston Ballet, The Boston Ballet, Point Park University, Ballet Austin, The Kirov Academy in Washington D.C., and Debbie Allen Summer Dance.  Other significant roles that I've had the privilege to be cast in were, Josh Bergasse's Black Velvet as a soloist and the Broadway production of The Weaving.  Her current favorite hobbies and interests are memorizing lines, editing photos, and evening out her tan at the beach.
